It's very simple by design, as Castle of Illusion does stray slightly toward the younger set. He can also throw apples and marbles - collected within each stage - at enemies and blocks. Mickey largely runs from left to right, jumping over gaps and using his fanny to flatten incoming enemies, like mushrooms, toy soldiers, spiders, and water goblins. Gameplay Castle of Illusion is a pure platformer - an excellent example of the finest of the genre from the 16-bit era. And for fans of Mickey Mouse (particularly old-school Mickey, before the era of cheap animation), Castle of Illusion offered a great afternoon of gaming with the Disney icon.
